Seagate Holds Dual-Brand Hard Drive Strategy Seminar in Korea
Seagate Technology (NYSE: STX), the world’s leading supplier of hard disc drives, together with its manufacturing representative in Korea, Ocean Technology Co. Ltd., announced that it will host a seminar entitled, “Seagate’s Hard Drive Dual-Brand Strategy,” on Thursday, October 12, 2006 in Seoul.
The seminar is targeted at 50 key Seagate channel partners in Korea and will outline Seagate’s strategy to complement its leadership Seagate hard drive product line by introducing new Maxtor-branded desktop and notebook PC hard drives for the worldwide distribution channel. The new Maxtor-branded products will provide system builders and resellers with a broader selection of product features, warranties, service and support, and pricing. Designed and manufactured with Seagate’s hallmark quality and reliability, the Maxtor DiamondMax desktop and MobileMax notebook disc drives will enable system builders to reach a wider range of customers.
Seagate completed its acquisition of Maxtor in May 2006. Following its acquisition of Maxtor, Seagate has been committed to providing customers with both Seagate and Maxtor branded products and solutions. The combination of the Maxtor and Seagate brands has produced one of the widest, most differentiated storage offering available today. In addition, the seminar also will include a business update, a review of industry trends, and an update on the successful Seagate Partner Program (SPP).
