Popular films came in for their share of searches, too, as [Saw 3] (whose much-anticipated new trailer was out prior to an Oct. 27 release date), and Scorsese’s star-filled [The Departed] (which just opened) both ranked high this week.

Obsessive fans weighed in with lots of searches on such digital amusements as [Line Rider], [YouTube] (which also made headlines this week due to its announced acquisition by a large search engine) and the latest installment in the venerated fighting-game series [Mortal Kombat Armageddon], which was released for the PS2 and Xbox this week. And of course, a week that includes [Friday the 13th] can’t be all bad.
