IBM Holds Top Ranking in Worldwide Server Revenue in First Quarter 2005 Year-to-Year

IDC reported today that in first quarter 2005, IBM maintained the number one server vendor position based on worldwide revenue and is number one in blade server-based revenue in the first quarter of 2005(1).

Highlights from IDC include:
IBM continued to lead in worldwide blade server revenue and revenue share for the seventh consecutive quarter ending 1Q05.
IBM maintained the number one position in worldwide server revenue.
IBM gained revenue share in UNIX-based servers year-to-year for the third consecutive quarter ending 1Q05.
