Xerox Makeover Energizes the Indiana Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

The outdated technology at Indianapolis’ most obsolete nonprofit office was hindering efforts to raise funds and support the nonprofit’s cause. Now, a dramatic makeover has provided employees with an impressive new look, the latest document technology, and fresh ideas on how to work smarter, all revealed today at the conclusion of Xerox Corporation’s (NYSE: XRX) “Helping Hands” Office Makeover contest.

The contest winner – the Indiana Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation – has neglected its own needs to lend a hand to more than 800 people in Indiana living with the genetic disease. In just two days, crews transformed the bleak office into an inspiring and productive work space that boasts Xerox digital color printing systems and software, a warm and vibrant interior styled by Brice Cooper of HGTV’s ‘Design on a Dime,’ and new office furniture from The HON Company.

“As a nonprofit, we struggled with a mix of used technology and furniture that didn’t fit our office or the needs of our employees,” says Kim Berry, executive director of the Indiana Chapter. “With an inspiring new look and efficient technology to help create fund raising materials, we can drive more awareness of cystic fibrosis and help increase donations for research.”

Xerox, along with its sales agency Indiana Business Equipment, evaluated the foundation’s work processes and determined the best mix of hardware and software to improve workflow and meet the organization’s document management needs. The resulting technology recipe: a Xerox Phaser™ color printer and WorkCentre™ digital color multifunction system, scanning software and Xerox flat-panel monitors.
