SAMSUNG Unveils Sponsor Activation Plans for the 15th Asian Games Doha 2006
With only thirty days remaining, sports fans from across Asia will celebrate the long anticipated opening ceremony marking the start of the 15th Asian Games Doha 2006. An essential contributor to the event is Samsung, one of the world’s most powerful and fastest-growing technology companies. As a Prestige Partner of the 15th Asian Games, Samsung’s partnership includes exclusivity in the audio/visual, white goods and mobile phone categories.
Since 1986, Samsung has been a Sponsor of the Asian Games. This year that support continues, as Samsung unveils its sponsor activation plans, which contain a unique combination of activities. As the exclusive multi-category Prestige Partner in the audio/ visual equipment, household appliances and mobile phone categories for the 15th Asian Games, Samsung will provide 8,189 products in total, consisting of 3,549 A/V (TV, Video Camera and DVD/VCR Combo), 2,772 mobile phones, 1,868 household appliances (Fridge, Washer and Microwave), which will be used at the Games’ venues throughout Doha. This will ensure the smooth running of the most anticipated Games in Asian sports history.

The MVP award ceremony will form part of the Closing ceremony, and will be presented to one MVP and four finalists who will be selected by a high profile committee and an accredited media poll.
