Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq: SYMC), the leading provider of Windows data protection software, today announced the availability of its Backup Exec 11d for Windows Servers software. Developed primarily for small- and medium-sized organizations, Backup Exec 11d expands the product line’s continuous data protection beyond Microsoft Windows file servers and workstations to include Microsoft Exchange, eliminating the need for daily Exchange backups and time consuming mailbox backups.

Backup Exec 11d, available on November 6, 2006, also features an innovative Granular Recovery Technology that enables recovery of critical data from Microsoft applications like Exchange, SharePoint, Active Directory and more in just seconds.
