PC WORLD NAMES SEAGATE BARRACUDA 7200.8 BEST HARD DRIVE
PC World magazine has named Seagate Barracuda 7200.8 hard drives the industry’s best in a comprehensive evaluation of performance, features and customer support, Seagate (NYSE:STX) announced today.
“Today’s computer users and IT managers need hard drives that provide much more than raw storage,” said Brian Dexheimer, Seagate executive vice president of Sales and Marketing. “Home users and customers in organizations of all sizes are demanding highly reliable access to information, data protection, more capacity and high performance to cost-effectively move and manage large amounts of content. Seagate Tops Competition in All Categories
Seagate’s flagship 400GB Barracuda 7200.8 SATA with native command queuing (NCQ) outperformed every other Serial ATA (SATA) drive in speed tests, beating even the industry’s fastest 10,000-rpm SATA hard drive. Seagate’s two Barracuda 7200.8 parallel ATA entries outpaced all other ATA hard drives, with one winning Best Buy honors.
