Amegy Bank of Texas Relies on HP OpenView Software and Services to Support Compliance Efforts
HP today announced that Amegy Bank of Texas has implemented HP OpenView identity management software and services to manage and automate identity management processes and respond to change in its IT environment.
The largest independent bank in the Houston metropolitan area, Amegy Bank had to address a complex convergence of ever-evolving regulatory compliance, acquisition-related employee additions, and disparate access management and control systems. The company selected the award-winning HP OpenView identity management solutions and HP Services to provide a service-based approach that ensures that identity and access management mirror its business model.
“Because of our aggressive growth, we decided to pursue an identity management framework that would increase agility, control the environment and enhance efficiencies when responding to changes brought on by regulatory compliance, as well as mergers and acquisitions,” said Buddy Cox, chief information officer, Amegy Bank. “Amegy’s business model is driven by technology, and HP’s commitment to make this project a success for Amegy is the cornerstone to our relationship, allowing us to align IT and business with a sharp focus on achieving business goals.”
The majority of Amegy Bank’s business change is now securely managed by users and administrators of the HP identity management solution, a move which can significantly reduce the cost of IT maintenance and improve overall efficiency.
In fact, Amegy has received two technology industry awards within the last 12 months in the areas of agility and identity management. CIO Magazine named Amegy one of the Top 100 Agile IT organizations. Amegy also received a Digital Identity Industry Award as selected by Digital ID World’s advisory board. This award recognizes individuals and organizations that have made a significant contribution (technology, policy or social) to the digital identity industry.
