weComm Appoints Trevor Cook as Vice President, Sales, to Drive Expansion into US and Asia Pacific Markets
London, 14th November 2006 – weComm, a world leader in mobile data delivery, today announced the appointment of Trevor Cook as vice president of sales. Cook will spearhead weComm’s growth in the media and entertainment, telecoms and financial services industries with applications for interactive mobile TV and on-device portals. He will also lead weComm’s expansion into US and Asia Pacific markets through direct and indirect sales channels.
Cook most recently spent four years as vice president of sales at Volantis Systems responsible for sales to mobile operators and content providers. He oversaw the growth of the business by 120% CAGR from 2003 to 2005. As a result, Volantis was ranked 20th in The Sunday Times Tech Track 100 list of the fastest growing technology companies in September 2006.
Cook has over 25 years’ experience in the technology sector and has previously held positions as regional managing director for Northern Europe for Candle Corporation, a mainframe software company. He also worked at Sequent and Hewlett Packard.
