Mumbai, November 21, 2006 – Dax targets the SMB segment for its DX-945ARO, a wireless LAN router with advanced security. Priced at Rs. 6140/- this is an IEEE 802.11g/b Wireless Access Point with Routing function.

DX-945ARO features transmission speed up to 54 Mbps and 2.4 GHz frequency band, easily building up the wireless communication with other wireless LAN devices. Provided with a reverse-polarity SMA connector, DX-945ARO enables effortless connection to external antenna to extend the wireless distance coverage.

The highlight of DX-945ARO is the advanced security mechanism that it offers. By masking local users’ IP address and blocking specific ports, DX-945ARO offers two levels of security. With the integrated firewall and 128-bit WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) encryption, DX-945ARO ensures security of the packet flow, allowing multiple users to share one Internet connection while ensuring security of network.

DX-945ARO serves as a DHCP server which automatically assigns IP address to the devices on the local area network (LAN). It offers roaming feature which can handle the coverage area limitation by using multiple access points in the same network.

DX-945ARO comes with a 3-year, carry-in warranty and online support to its customers. Dax plans to market this product through its system and network integrators and strong channel presence comprising 500 solution providers and 5000 resellers.
