KPN and LINX announce discounted Ethernet services through LINX from Anywhere
Connecting to LINX facility locations from outside the UK is now easier and more economical
than ever.
One of Europe’s leading carriers, KPN, has announced special rates for its Gigabit Ethernet (1GE) and 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GE) through Wavelength services from any of their Western European POPs outside the UK to LINX facility locations in London using LINX from Anywhere.
LINX from Anywhere allows ISPs to exchange data – known as peering – with other ISPs far more efficiently without the need for their own dedicated switches on the LINX exchange or the technical staff to maintain them. This arrangement provides significant cost saving benefits.
The KPN GE transport service offer is 2,000 EUR / month for a one year term contract saving the cost of the set-up fee. Customers that commit for two years will receive an extra 10% discount while a three year deal will save a massive 20%.
The 10GE service is available for 7,000 EUR / month and the same discount rates apply.
This offer is valid for all contracts signed before December 31st, 2006.
KPN’s list of PoP locations includes the majority of the dominant data centers in the UK and in a number of other major European metro markets:
London: Telehouse, Telecity 1 (Bonnington House, Millharbour)
Paris: Interxion 1, LD Com, Le Capitole
Belgium: Interxion Zaventem
Germany: 14 PoPs including Frankfurt, Munich, Hamburg, Berlin, Duesseldorf
The Netherlands: SARA, NIKHEF, Telecity 2 (Kuiperberweg 13).
KPN will connect customer circuits to the LINX enabled facility locations – Telehouse, Telecity 1 in London.
