Seagate Appoints Sales and Marketing Director for Taiwan and China

Seagate Technology (NYSE:STX), the world’s leading supplier of hard disc drives, today named Brian Wickman as its new executive director for Taiwan and China. In this role, Wickman will be based in Taiwan and he is responsible for the OEM and ODM business. He will also provide leadership and overall oversight for the Taiwan and China Sales operations.

“Brian has successfully led Seagate’s business with Dell for the last ten years and his extensive management and sales experience position us well in addressing the huge potential in fast growing markets like China and Taiwan,” said Kurt Richarz, vice president of Global OEM Sales. “These markets are important markets given the significant influence the key players have in the overall PC landscape, particularly in the notebook area. Brian will be leading his team to extend Seagate’s presence and influence in this area.”

Wickman joined Control Data, which was acquired by Seagate, in 1973, holding various management positions in Sales, Business Management and Operations throughout the US. He has a proven track record leading teams from multiple geographies and disciplines.
