Google Launches Online Sales and Operations in Gurgaon

Mumbai, November 28, 2006 – Google today marked its continued investment in India with the launch of Online Sales and Operations in Gurgaon. The new operations will mirror Google Hyderabad in managing worldwide advertiser campaigns and providing support on all aspects of Google Advertising.

Google – through its advertising programme AdWords – enables advertisers and businesses of all sizes to show targeted advertisements to users as they search the web. Google AdWords matches text-based ads to users’ search queries, providing them with information relevant to what they are looking for. This results in a highly-targeted service that returns significant results to the advertiser. Through Google AdWords, advertisers can reach millions of Google users around the world and can also generate leads across Google’s network of worldwide sites, which also show Google AdWords.
