Mr. R. Vasudevan joined Cosmo Films’ Board of Directors

Ahmedabad, November 29, 2006 : Cosmo Films, leading producers of producers of BOPP films in India with a track record of pioneering introduction of new films. Cosmo’s growth focus has primarily been in exports with majority of its business in US and Europe. Cosmo today announced the appointment of Mr R. Vasudevan to its Board of Directors. He brings along the expanse of his management expertise and sharp industrial acumen. Mr. Vasudevan joined Cosmo Films Ltd in October 2006.

Mr. Vasudevan assured of strengthening Mr. Ashok Jaipuria’s, Chairman, Cosmo Films Ltd. vision about the company i.e., “Innovation, flexibility and highest standard of integrity which are the hallmark of Cosmo’s business”.

Mr. Vasudevan has an abundant experience of over 35 years. He held prominent work positions with the Government of India. Few of the assignments during his tenure with Government of India include:

Secretary, Ministry of Small Scale Industries.

Secretary, Ministry of Steel.

Secretary, Ministry of Power.

Besides this he also acted as Chairman of the High Power Committee, set up by the Ministry of Environment & Forest to appraise thermal power projects.

Mr. Vasudevan has also been rendering his intellect holding the Chairman’s position with Hindustan Oil & Exploration Limited.
