TIBCO Helps Web Security Leader Become More Agile While Managing Rapid Growth

TIBCO Software Inc. (Nasdaq: TIBX – News) today announced that Websense, Inc. (Nasdaq: WBSN – News), a global leader in Web security and Web filtering software, has selected TIBCO’s business integration solutions to bring greater organizational agility to their enterprise and establish new benchmarks for overall operational performance.

The first phase of the implementation at Websense will require transitioning from a costly and inflexible application system to a fully integrated solution that connects front-office sales and marketing systems with the back-office financial system and databases. Websense will rely on TIBCO service-oriented architecture (SOA) and business process management software to mediate interactions among disparate applications and databases, automate complex business processes, manage transactions and Web services, handle exceptions and process critical business events. Ultimately, this software will enable Websense to more easily define and streamline their business processes and link them seamlessly to services within an SOA.
