Kodak Streamlines Film and Photofinishing Group Organizational Structure
Eastman Kodak Company today announced several steps that the company is taking to streamline operations within its Film and Photofinishing Systems Group (FPG). Mary Jane Hellyar, President of FPG and Senior Vice President, Eastman Kodak Company, will assume the added responsibility of President, Entertainment Imaging (EI) effective January 8, 2007. Eric Rodli, currently President of that business and a Senior Vice President of Eastman Kodak Company, has decided to leave the company.
“Eric Rodli has served Kodak with distinction since joining the company in 2000,” said Hellyar. “Under his leadership, EI has remained a stable business and important contributor to Kodak’s performance during our digital transformation. As testament to his leadership, when we began to discuss changes in the FPG group portfolio earlier this year, he recognized the opportunity to modify our leadership structure.”
“Entertainment Imaging continues to be an important business for Kodak,” said Rodli. “Mary Jane has an extensive background in film and digital technologies and has been actively engaged with the EI team. She is the logical leader going forward and will be supported by a strong team of business leaders that have been increasingly empowered to operate the very successful day-to-day Entertainment Imaging business operations. This is the right time for me to pursue new challenges.”
In addition to this leadership change, the Paper and Output Systems, Photo Services and Service and Support units will move from FPG to the Retail Printing business unit within the company’s Consumer Digital Group, effective January 1, 2007. This move will concentrate FPG’s portfolio exclusively on film-related businesses, as well as the digital cinema and servicesbusinesses within EI. The group will be composed of three core businesses; Entertainment Imaging, which serves the motion picture industry; Film Capture, which sells consumer and professional films and one-time-use cameras; and Aerial and Industrial Markets, which sells specialty films. In line with this, the group will be renamed the Film Products Group effective January 1, 2007.
