Snap Preview Anywhere Now Available to All WordPress.com Blog Authors
More Than 600,000 WordPress.com Bloggers Now Have Free Access to the Internet’s Fastest-Growing Website Enhancement
Perfect Market Technologies, Inc., operator of Snap.com, today announced that Snap Preview Anywhere (SPA), the company’s free website enhancement service that delivers cutting-edge site previews to websites, is now immediately available to the more than 600,000 bloggers using the WordPress.com authoring platform. Visitors to WordPress.com blogs now have access to instant previews of linked sites as well as links in the blog comments and blog roll, making for a much richer user experience and increasing the overall stickiness of the blog.
“After testing Snap Preview Anywhere on my personal site, I received numerous requests to add the functionality to WordPress.com,” said Matt Mullenweg, founding developer of WordPress.com. “We initially offered the enhancement to a group of test users and, after an overwhelmingly positive response, we’ve opened up the SPA service to the entire WordPress.com network.”
Snap Preview Anywhere gives website owners, bloggers and web publishers the ability to leverage Snap.com’s award-winning visual search technology and massive library of webpage images for use on their own sites. By rolling over any link on a site that contains the Snap Preview Anywhere code, users instantly see a floating window with a visual preview of the corresponding webpage. This allows users to quickly decide if a site is worth visiting before actually clicking on the link.
“We’re thrilled to have WordPress.com and its network of bloggers using the Snap Preview Anywhere service, said Tom McGovern, CEO of Perfect Market Technologies. “With more than 100,000,000 previews served on hundreds of thousands of sites, Snap Preview Anywhere is the fastest-growing website enhancement and is a great, free way for publishers to retain site visitors while offering a much richer user experience.”
Snap Preview Anywhere is already enabled for new and existing WordPress.com users and can be controlled in the Extras menu under the Presentations Tab. For non WordPress users, implementing SPA is quick and easy as well. Publishers simply navigate to http://www.snap.com, click on the Partners/Advertisers link, select Snap Preview Anywhere, put the code on their site and Snap takes care of the rest – automatically.
