SoftBrands Appoints Patty Elias General Counsel

SoftBrands, Inc. (Amex: SBN), a global supplier of enterprise application software, has appointed Patricia A. Elias general counsel. She will report to Gregg A. Waldon, senior vice president and chief financial officer. Elias will be responsible for managing the company’s legal business matters.

Most recently, Elias was associate general counsel of Lawson Software, Inc., a position she held since Dec. 2005. Prior to that, Elias was senior corporate counsel at Lawson, a position she held upon joining the company in May 2001. Elias has been practicing law for over fifteen years and has also held legal positions at ObjectFX Corporation, iMcKesson, LLC, Abaton.com, and Health Systems Integration.

Elias holds a law degree from William Mitchell College of Law and a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Minnesota.
