New Asian customer orders Airbus Corporate Jetliner

A new Asian customer is to acquire an A319 Airbus Corporate Jetliner (ACJ), consolidating the aircraft’s presence in Asia, where total sales run into double-figures.
Asia – especially China and India – are experiencing rapid economic growth and, as companies expand, there is an increasing need for corporate jets to serve the demanding travel schedules of their top executives.

“There are only so many hours in a top executive’s day, so a key benefit of a corporate jet is making them go further and, if you want to do that productively, there is no better way than in an Airbus ACJ,” says Airbus Chief Operating Officer Customers, John Leahy. Worldwide sales of the Airbus ACJ Family now total around 80, with the aircraft having been chosen by customers on every continent. Airbus ACJs have led the large top-of-the-line corporate jet market for the last three years, and won almost two-thirds of sales in 2006.

Airbus’ ACJ Family brings a new dimension to business jet travel, giving executives and VIPs the widest and most voluminous cabin of any corporate jet. Yet the Airbus corporate jet family, which comprises the A318 Elite, ACJ and A320 Prestige, is as affordable as other large, top-of-the-line, business jets, delivering more space for the money, as well as the most modern aircraft in its class.

Airbus ACJ customers can choose cabins that range from a corporate shuttle with seating for almost 50 passengers, through a mixed arrangement with areas for VIP travellers and support staff, up to a full VIP configuration with different zones – including lounges, dining rooms, private offices, bedrooms, bathrooms and showers.
