Ericsson to show the latest in broadband and multimedia at 3GSM 2007

Ericsson strengthens its leading position, showcasing the most innovative technologies at 3GSM World Congress 2007 in Barcelona. Among others, Ericsson will showcase the world’s first Long Term Evolution (LTE) demo and the first live demo of MBMS system for Mobile TV broadcasting at its stands in Halls 7 and 8 at La Fira.

Ericsson’s IMS System powers the GSMA sponsored live IMS VideoShare Interoperability Demonstration (IOD).: This demo will show the commercial value of standardization, allowing users to enjoy IMS based services across different devices. As the leading provider of IMS solutions, Ericsson has been selected to enable the GSMA VideoShare IOD, showing that this solution works with all types of devices and services. This demo will be shown on February 13 and 14, from 10:00-11:00am, at the Seminar Theatre in Hall 7.

HSPA on PC cards, embedded modules and fixed-wireless terminals: Ericsson will show the power of true broadband with HSPA in the downlink and uplink, demonstrating this technology on using PC cards from different manufacturers, HSPA Embedded Modules for laptop computers and the latest Ericsson Fixed-Wireless Terminals, showing the strong usage potential of HSPA for mobile and wireless broadband services. These HSPA devices support 7.2Mbps in the downlink and 1.4Mbps on the uplink. Ericsson offers HSPA support on many frequency bands ranging from 850 MHz to 2.6 GHz.
