Huawei celebrated business partnership together with VIVO

Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. (”Huawei”), a leader in providing next generation telecommunications network solutions for operators around the world and VIVO, the largest mobile telecommunications operator in the South hemisphere, celebrated together the business partnership and the successful implementation of VIVO GSM Evolution Project. The celebration was held with both-side high-ranking executives present at 3GSM Congress in Barcelona, Spain, executives from Telefonica and Portugal Telecom also witnessed this celebration.

During the celebration, the President of VIVO, Mr. Roberto Lima, on behalf of VIVO, congratulated Huawei for “Outstanding GSM Network Delivery and Quality”. Mr. Ken Hu, Chief Sales and Service Officer of Huawei Technologies, also congratulated VIVO for “Excellent GSM Network Deployment”. At the same time, Huawei delivered a special award of “New Concept of Teamwork Construction” to VIVO CTO, Mr. Javier Rodríguez García, for his effort to lead both companies into one integrated team.

VIVO has adopted Huawei EnerG GSM solutions to build Latin America’s biggest mobile network in 2006, which operates in parallel to the current CDMA network of the operator covering the totality of its operation area in Brazil, with thousands of new-generation GSM base stations. “In such an important project, Huawei demonstrated professional project management and quality. VIVO appreciates Huawei’s commitment and congratulates Huawei’s great success in this project”, stated Mr. Roberto Lima, President of VIVO.
