Dehli Summit to focus on ‘Managing Growth, Delivering Profitability’ and will Attract Regional Leaders from Government and Industry
TeleManagement Forum announced today that it will be focusing on the key issues of “managing growth and delivering profitability” with leaders of the telecom market in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh at its regional summit to take place from March 5-7, 2007 at the Le Meridien Hotel in Delhi, India. The event will include a host of prominent speakers from the region – both from government and industry.
Prestigious speakers at the event include the Chairman of the India regulator, TRAI, who will be discussing how the regulatory environment in India is evolving to meet the needs of the local telecom market. Also participating in the conference will be senior level executives from leading service providers: Bharat Sanchar Nigam, Reliance Communications, and Bharti.
“India is a unique telecom market based on its rate of growth, and opportunities,” said Keith Willetts, Chairman of the TM Forum and Officiator of the event. “This summit will explore the current market in the Indian sub-continent but it will also debate what can be learned form markets around the world where growth has slowed as markets saturate. The summit is a great opportunity for international debate and exploring how TM Forum can better serve companies based in the region.”
What to Expect at the Event
The three-day event features an executive level conference summit featuring top industry leaders from TRAI, Aricent, BSNL, Reliance, IBM, Satyam Computer Services Ltd., Oracle, Celona Technologies Ltd., BT Group plc, Tech Mahindra, Cisco Systems, SAP, NetCracker Technology, Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro Technologies, Agilent Technologies, Hewlett-Packard, Bharti Airtel Ltd., and TM Forum executives. There will also be an accompanying expo hall, where attendees can browse at their leisure.
The summit will be followed by a two-day training session on two well-known TM Forum standards: the Enhanced Telecom Operations Map (eTOM) and the Telecom Application Map (TAM).
