Canon U.S.A. Receives Four Platinum Readers’ Choice Awards From Bertl

Canon U.S.A., Inc. had recently received BERTL Readers’ Choice Platinum Awards for Customer Focus, Monochrome Reliability, Third Party Partners, and Ease of Use-Scan categories. The Readers’ Choice Awards are the cumulative findings culled from BERTL surveys. The awards are chosen by BERTL readers who represent a cross section of office equipment users, purchasers and influencers.

“We pride ourselves on our commitment to meeting customer needs and delivering solutions that truly impact office workflows,” said Tod Pike, senior vice president, Imaging Systems Group, Canon U.S.A., Inc. “These awards underscore our commitment to the market.” Canon MFPs received the Customer Focus Platinum Award, which recognizes Canon’s special attention to its customer’s needs. Acknowledging and addressing the types of incoming documents to be processed and the documents produced for external communication has helped Canon earn this award. In addition, the award recognizes Canon’s efforts to help customers share information internally while maintaining maximum efficiency and ensuring an audit trail throughout the document lifecycle.

In the 2006 BERTL Readers’ Choice survey, Canon monochrome MFPs have earned the Platinum Award for reliability quickly becoming the printing and copying work horses in today’s offices. Reliability and uptime are important factors with keeping an office working and producing and Canon’s proven success in the field with its monochrome imageRUNNER devices has earned it BERTL’s 2006 Readers’ Choice Award.

Appropriately, Canon’s third Platinum Readers’ Choice Award is in recognition of the company’s network of Third Party Partners. Manufacturers like Canon have been positioning themselves as solution providers and developing software technology in-house, as well as establishing a successful network of third party vendors. BERTL surveyed resellers to find out which manufacturers have gotten the right balance between range, manageability and evaluating the scope and focus of a manufacturer’s solutions program with Canon coming out a winner.

Last but certainly not least, Canon was awarded the End User Platinum Award in the 2006 BERTL Readers’ Choice for Ease of Use with scanning. According to BERTL, scanning is an evolving technology in MFPs with the distinction in technologies lying with security and ease-of-use. MFP open architecture platforms, such as Canon’s MEAP application, and a growing number of third party software vendors are integrating scanners with back office applications, making the role of MFP as a scanner appear more and more attractive.
