D-Link Now Offering 50-Client Access Point License For Xstack Managed Gigabit Switch

D-Link, the end-to-end networking solutions provider for consumer and business, today announced it is adding a 50-client Access Point (AP) licensing option for its popular series of xStack 3200 managed stackable gigabit switches, providing an extended range of coverage within wireless environments such as corporate and school campuses. The new 50, 25 and 10 AP license packages apply to D-Link’s DXS-3227 and 3227P, DWS-3227 and 3227P, the DXS-3250 and DWS-3250 switches.

“The addition of the 50-client AP license for our popular xStack switch series is an important step that enables IT managers to offer greater geographic coverage for mobile users in a centrally managed, secure and fully integrated wireless infrastructure,” said AJ Wang, chief technical officer for D-Link. “We can now deliver increased value to the market by combining even greater wireless management capability to a full fledged managed switch through the purchase of a simple software license.”

D-Link’s xStack 3200 unified wireless series switches are designed to combine the best of both networking worlds – advanced wired functionality, high-availability, redundancy and uptime, along with centralized management of compatible wireless access points, enhanced wireless security features and seamless roaming between access points.

With complete seamless integration and compatibility, the xStack 3200 series deploys D-Link’s Distributed Network Architecture (DNA) to provide both flexible stacking and wired infrastructure control. The D-Link xStack 3200 series is a highly scalable, centrally managed Layer 2+ stackable gigabit switch series with optional 10-gigabit uplinks that fully integrate wired and wireless switching capabilities. Up to 8 of the switches can be stacked, delivering up to 384-gigabit ports. It also provides powerful wireless security, rogue access point detection and centralized management for all compatible wireless LAN components in a single 1U form factor.
