SITEL launches its 146th contact centre in Gurgaon
SITEL Corporation, the world’s largest provider of contact centre and back office services announced the launch of its operations in Gurgaon, India.
Speaking on the occasion, Safir Adeni, CEO, SITEL India stated, “We are excited to launch SITEL India’s 5th and the largest contact centre in Gurgaon, one of the most prominent outsourcing and offshoring hubs in India. Mr. Adeni further added, “SITEL continues to find significant growth potential in India and is committed to expand its presence here. We are planning to bring on an additional 4000 people in the next 2 years as part of our strategic growth plans in India.”
“The first process at the Gurgaon centre is a 500 people tech support operation for a major North American client,” said Sachin Varma, Sr. Vice President and Centre Head, Gurgaon. The centre will initially focus on the Financial Services and Telecom verticals leveraging on the significant talent pool in the capital region.
SITEL India has invested over Rs. 100 crores in 2006 - 07 and plans to double this investment over the next 18 months. “Our significant focus on being the employer of choice and our passion for excellence has enabled us to maintain the global best in class position, for all our clients,” said, Mr. Adeni.
