Digital Music Provider Selects AT&T for Nationwide Broadband Solutions
AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) has announced that Ecast, one of the nation’s top digital music providers, has selected AT&T to bring affordable broadband Internet access to Ecast jukebox operators nationwide. This agreement will provide Ecast operators with a standard price point for AT&T high speed Internet access and professional DSL installation at customer venues.
“As the only 100 percent broadband touchscreen media network, we’ve always offered our customers the best connectivity programs,” said Steven Kellam, vice president of network sales, Ecast. “With the AT&T agreement, our network service will provide the richest interactive music experience with the reliability of uninterrupted service and top-notch installation by certified AT&T technicians.”
AT&T’s ability to provide high speed Internet access on a national scale will further enhance the landscape of the digital entertainment industry as features and applications that use the Internet continue to be developed. “More often than not, current connectivity availability requires that digital jukebox operators purchase broadband solutions that are unnecessarily expensive,” said Vicki Jones, senior vice president, AT&T Midwest Business Communications Services. “This agreement ensures that Ecast’s operators will get the best solution at a great value.”
