Transitive® Appoints PKA Technologies as Value-Added Reseller Partner to Accelerate Enterprise Customer Migrations to x86 and Itanium-Based Servers
Latest Transitive Channel Partner Specializes in Providing IT Services for Next-Generation HP Enterprise and Network Value Servers
Transitive® Corporation, the leading provider of software that enables transportability of applications across multiple processor and operating system (OS) pairs, today announced the further expansion of its channel partner network by appointing PKA Technologies, Inc. (PKA) to its growing list of exceptional Value-Added Reseller (VAR) partners. PKA will provide services supporting Transitive’s QuickTransit software for enterprise customers who need to migrate legacy Solaris/SPARC applications to the latest Itanium and x86-based HP servers.
“This is a fantastic addition to our channel program, because PKA Technologies has an excellent reputation as an exclusive HP Elite Value partner, and, perhaps, the most experience with the newer Itanium platforms than anyone out there,” said Steven Mih, vice president of worldwide sales for Transitive. “There is great synergy between the needs of PKA’s customers and our QuickTransit solutions for migrating Solaris/SPARC applications to HP value server platforms.”
“We are excited about the opportunity to offer QuickTransit solutions as part of our service portfolio,” said Felise Katz, CEO of PKA Technologies. “We believe that QuickTransit software will play a major role in the architecture shift from legacy RISC to Itanium and x86-based platforms that is now happening on a large scale in the data center. This technology will enable our customers to refresh the data center by adopting the latest new hardware at an unprecedented pace, while still maintaining their software application base. The best part about this is that we don’t have to worry about porting!”
Transitive and PKA will demonstrate QuickTransit solutions deployed on Itanium and x86-based servers at Booth #216 in the forthcoming Linux/Open Source on Wall Street conference in New York on April 23, 2007. More details on this event can be found at http://www.linuxonwallstreet.com/.
