Huawei launches industry-leading CDMA2000 ALL-IP BTS Series

Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. (”Huawei”), a leader in providing next-generation telecommunications networks for operators around the world, today announced that it launched its industry-leading CDMA2000 All-IP Base Transceiver Station (BTS) series.

Operators are paying increasing attention on how they can improve their network quality and reduce their construction and maintenance costs as they are facing aggressive competition in the 3G market. The IP network, compared with the traditional network, provides greater bandwidth, and higher utilization ratio, and so has already become an important choice for many operators.

Huawei’s industry-leading CDMA2000 All-IP BTS series, that includes the BTS3606AE, BTS3606E, BTS3606C and ODU3601CE, features a telecom-grade IP broadband platform and modular design and fully supports the all-band EV-DO Rev. A network deployment and the smooth evolution to future UMB™(Ultra Mobile Broadband).

The BTS series, based on telecom-grade IP broadband platform and modular design, greatly reduces operators’ maintenance costs and enables operators to save 40 – 80% in transmission costs. The advanced compression algorithm the CDMA2000 All-IP BTS series guarantees the excellent capacity of Abis interface, which supports 240 voice channels with one E1. It is over 30% higher than the average level of the industry.
