McAfee, Inc. Announces SmartBUY Agreement for Total Protection for Enterprise Solutions
McAfee, Inc., (NYSE: MFE) the leading dedicated security technology company, today announced that McAfee® Total Protection for Enterprise security solution will be available to Federal agencies through the government-wide SmartBUY program. McAfee Total Protection for Enterprise is the first comprehensive, integrated solution to deliver inclusive, easy to manage protection from a centralized console. Included is anti-spyware, anti-virus, anti-spam, firewall and intrusion prevention. McAfee Total Protection for Enterprise employs FIPS 140-2 compliant cryptography modules, as required by FISMA.

SmartBUY, created by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and administered by the General Services Administration (GSA), allows the Federal government to leverage its purchasing power to secure lower prices for software. Agencies are required to purchase software through a SmartBUY contract whenever possible. McAfee Total Protection for Enterprise is provided through SmartBUY agreements with CDW-G, Softmart Government Services, Inc., and En Pointe Gov, Inc.
