Oracle today announced a record breaking TPC-H Three Terabyte (TB) benchmark for Oracle® Database 10g Release 2(1), strengthening the company’s leadership in data warehouse performance. Holding records in three of the largest scale benchmarks: TPC-H 300 Gigabyte(2), TPC-H One TB(3) and TPC-H Three TB, Oracle continues to prove the superior performance of its database.

Running on a Sun Fire(TM) E25K server with UltraSPARC® IV+ processors and the Solaris(TM) 10 Operating System, Oracle Database 10g Release 2 achieved a record-breaking performance of 114,713.7 QphH@3000GB with a price-performance ratio of $36.68QphH@3000GB.

“This new three terabyte world record proves Oracle’s commitment to deliver the best performing and most reliable database for any data warehousing environment,” said Juan Loaiza, senior vice president, Systems Technology, Oracle. “Customers can count on Oracle Database 10g to grow with the demands of their business.”
