Automatic identification for the flow of materials and goods

Siemens Automation and Drives (A&D) will be presenting its comprehensive portfolio of auto ID products at this year’s Euro ID 2007, the international trade fair and knowledge forum for automatic identification, from May 8 to 10 in the Expocentre in Cologne. From inbound logistics through the production process to outbound logistics, Siemens will show how automatic identification can help to reliably record and control the flow of materials and goods.

The exhibition will focus on identification products concerning the pioneering Data Matrix Code and RFID technologies. Siemens will present mobile and stationary 1D/2D code readers, RFID systems for production and logistics, the integration into MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) with Simatic IT as well as the universal RFID Simatic RF Manager software.

The Simatic RF Manager manages write/read devices, acquires and compresses RFID data and supplies the data to the goods management system or MES. The particularly flexible and robust Siemens products ensure data consistency throughout the goods information flow.
