Acer introduces the new X-Series Media-friendly LCDs for the growing market

Acer, the fourth largest vendor in the global IT market (source: Gartner data, 4Q 2006), today presents the Acer X-Series, a new range of quality LCD monitors dedicated to the Consumer and SoHo market segments.

Ideal for multimedia, gaming and video applications, the Acer X-Series has been designed with two different concepts: The X1 series: dedicated to data or media users, the X1 Series offers superior contrast ratio and fast response-times within a slim and attractive aluminium alloy case.
The X2 series: dedicated to users appreciating style and fancy design, available in an elegant, stylish design with a black glossy finish, features high performance panel technologies with enhanced graphics capabilities

The best visual experience: The X2 Series is equipped with Acer CrystalBrite, a proprietary screen technology that delivers enhanced color saturation, higher image sharpness and superior contrast ratio. In addition, Acer has certified the new X-Series to provide the best visual experience under the Vista operating system: media applications, translucent windows, entertainment activities and three-dimensional perspectives are stunningly rendered with the new Vista Certified X-Series LCD panels.

Advanced Technology: The X-Series monitors feature a specialized technology: eColor Management, an advanced monitor solution that adapts the performance of the panel to different environments, lighting conditions and viewing preferences. Acer eColor Management optimizes the image for an enhanced front-of-screen performance, with a range of user-selected scenarios: standard mode (normal settings for medium-level display performance), text mode (suited for on-screen viewing of documents, spreadsheets, etc.), graphics mode (delivers optimal quality for colourful static images) and user modes (lets you fine-tune basic settings and personalize your viewing experience).
