Symantec Expert To Speak at 2005 American Bankers Association Convention
Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq: SYMC) today announced that Kim Legelis, Symantec’s director of partner and industry solution marketing, is speaking at the 2005 American Bankers Association (ABA) Convention taking place in Palm Springs, California from Sept. 25-28, 2005.
Legelis will participate in a panel entitled “Phishing & Other Threats: Protecting Your Customers” on Sunday, Sept. 25, from 3:30-4:45 p.m. and will address how phishing schemes are impacting the growth of online banking. The discussion will offer best practice recommendations for preventing phishing attacks, protecting customer information, and educating employees and customers as a first line of defense against these rising threats.
As director of partner and industry solutions for Symantec, Legelis works to define and introduce enterprise security and availability solutions designed specifically for the unique needs of financial institutions. In her role, she has worked with dozens of financial institutions, industry associations such as the Financial Services Technology Consortium and the Anti-Phishing Working Group and helped co-found the AntiFraud Alliance.
