Convenos Joins the Charter Class of Salesforce.com’s AppExchange Incubator
Web collaboration service provider continues to accelerate success with Salesforce customers
Salesforce.com AppExchange Incubator — Convenos today announced that it is a member of the charter class of the first salesforce.com AppExchange Incubator. Convenos is a venture dedicated to delivering online collaboration tools that are simple, convenient, and continue to advance the web-based collaboration and conferencing industries. Convenos has forged partnerships with companies such as Skype and salesforce.com to build a network of partners intent on meeting the needs of the rapidly emerging collaboration and software as a service (SaaS) market. Convenos holds a view of sales, service, and support teams as power users of web conferencing technology and so made delivering Convenos Meeting Center for AppExchange a key Convenos objective for late 2006. Shortly thereafter, Convenos accepted the invitation to join the charter class of AppExchange incubators to solidify closer working relationships with salesforce.com technical teams in developing product roadmaps and more consistent access to partner success, partner marketing, and salesforce.com sales teams in developing programs.
“Being an AppExchange Incubator delivers us the ability to establish close working relationships with the many individuals within salesforce.com who are important to the successful adoption of our web collaboration offering,” said Thomas Torf, Convenos CEO. “Convenos Meeting Center for AppExchange installations within the Salesforce user base validate the usability and value of our Salesforce integration and being in close communication via participation in the incubator enables us to continue to deliver solutions.”
“Through the AppExchange incubator we are working with partners like Convenos to foster the next level of on-demand innovation,” said Rene Bonvanie, SVP and GM, AppExchange and developer marketing, salesforce.com. “Bringing together startups with brand new on-demand initiatives and established industry-leading ISVs and SIs who are accelerating their on-demand capabilities in the incubator is creating a community of collaboration and success that wouldn’t be otherwise possible.”
Convenos Meeting Center delivers full-featured web conferencing in an intuitive and easy-to-use interface and at a low and predictable cost, and Convenos Meeting Center for AppExchange extends an organization’s Salesforce investment with the power to deliver simple and effective online meetings directly from within Salesforce. Convenos customers cover a wide range of industry segments in the small- to medium-sized business market, notably business services, technology, and financial consulting services. Convenos Meeting Center users cover a broad range of roles and responsibilities and include many levels of sales and marketing professionals; managers of various disciplines; client services and technical support teams; consultants; and trainers.
Convenos customers such as Waterstone Capital Advisors and I Drive Safely learned of Convenos through its association with salesforce.com. Each ultimately chose Convenos Meeting Center for its ease-of-use and low, predictable cost.
“Convenos Meeting Center was easy to use, the support was excellent, and the affordable price made it impossible to beat,” said Stephen J. Liadis, Analyst with Waterstone Capital Advisors, an independent defeasance consultant group that assists clients with their commercial real estate mortgages and loans. “Best of all, not only did my clients appreciate the simplicity of the product, the relationships that developed as a result of these meetings will enable us to do business with our new partners for years to come.”
“As a private e-commerce entity in a hyper-growth phase, applications that are flexible and applicable for all areas of operations are critical to our success. Convenos Meeting Center is that kind of application for our business,” said Tammy Dahl, Regulatory Sales with I DRIVE SAFELY, a rapidly growing online defensive driving and traffic school. “We picked Convenos Meeting Center after evaluating a total of seven web conferencing alternatives based on ease-of-use, integration with Salesforce, robust feature offering, cost, and customer service.”
The AppExchange Incubator is a key component of the salesforce.com circle of success for developers and partners: powerful and easy-to-use on-demand CRM applications that drive high user adoption rates; the IdeaExchange for community innovation; the Apex Developer Network providing the tools and resources for application development and creation; the Apex platform for developing and deploying on-demand applications; and the AppExchange and AppStore as a global marketplace and directory.
