Flexibility Of Broadband Proves Popular Amongst Businesses
Many people in the UK now have broadband connections, but a recent survey has revealed that businesses have also become reliant on this service.
Anyone that has a broadband connection in their home but has also used dial up connections will know how convenient the flexibility and increased speed of broadband can be, and according to a recent survey it is factors such as these that have made broadband so popular amongst the UK’s smaller businesses and sole traders, enabling them to enjoy a far better balance between work and life than they would otherwise be able to manage.
The higher speeds available with broadband connections today enable far more flexibility for smaller businesses, and according to the results of research carried out by BT Business small businesses and sole traders were able to enjoy increased mobility and convenience because of the benefits of broadband services and increased Internet speeds. Benefits such as these, according to the survey, had enables more flexible working patters, the ability to work remotely, and the chance to strike a far better balance between work life and home life.
Seventy eight percent of the small businesses that were questioned as part of the survey stated that they had opted for broadband because of the speed and flexibility that came with this type of service. A third of smaller business owners and around half of sole traders also stated that it was thanks to broadband that they were able to enjoy increased flexibility and balance in their lives. Reliability and value for money were the top two most important factors for the majority of businesses and traders that were surveyed.
Yvan Bamping of broadband comparison site http://www.broadband-expert.co.uk stated “small business look for the same attributes in broadband packages as consumers with value for money and reliability proving the two most important factors for both groups.”
The Managing Director of BT Business stated: “Britain’s small businesses are critical to the health of the UK economy, and broadband is becoming central in helping them to thrive without compromising other aspects of their lives. However, if your livelihood and your work-life balance can be significantly impacted by the technology you choose, then that technology has to be designed specifically for business, and that’s why we invest so much in developing services like BT Business Total Broadband.”
