VIA Announces 4Q’06 and 1Q’07 Results

VIA Technologies, Inc, a leading innovator and developer of silicon chip technologies and PC platform solutions, today announced financial results for fourth quarter 2006 and first quarter 2007.

Net sales for 4Q’06and 1Q’07 were NT$ 3,766 million and NT$ 3,869million respectively. Net income for the two quarters were negative NT$ 1,869 million and negative NT$ 1,043 million respectively; based on the weight average shares outstanding of 1,285.146 million shares and 1,290.968 million shares, earnings per share were reported as negative NT$1.45 and negative NT$0.81 for 4Q’06 and 1Q’07 respectively.

For the whole year 2006, net sales totaled NT$ 21,450 million and net income for the year were negative NT$ 1,155 million; based on weight average shares outstanding of 1,285.146 million shares, earnings per share for the year were reported at negative NT$0.90.
