AT&T Introduces 75 Cents-A-Minute Calling Rate to Cuba
As part of an ongoing effort to introduce competitive offers that deliver even more value to families in South Florida, AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) today announced a new calling plan for all direct-dialed calls made to Cuba. The new plan will help thousands of families in South Florida keep in touch with their loved ones in Cuba.
The AT&T Cuba Calling Plan, available to new and existing AT&T residential wireline customers in South Florida, allows callers to stay in touch with family and friends in Cuba for only $7.99 a month — delivering a low per-minute rate of only 75 cents. Eligible customers must also subscribe to a domestic long distance plan from AT&T.
“For AT&T, the majority of calls made to Cuba originate in South Florida. This new monthly plan, with extremely low and competitive per-minute calling rates, further demonstrates AT&T’s commitment to callers in the region, and it illustrates our continued effort to introducing plans of great value,” said Ralph de la Vega, group president of Wireline Operations. “Our ongoing drive to bring new offers to market reflects the company’s initiative to keep consumers first and to keep communication increasingly affordable between the United States and Cuba.”
