It has never been so easy to experience the Big Easy’s biggest music event, thanks to AT&T blue room music. AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) today announced the details of the webcast of this year’s New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival presented by Shell.
“Over the years, millions of passionate music fans have traveled to the Big Easy to experience the tradition of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. It is, quite simply, a music institution,” said Dan York, head of Content and Programming of AT&T Entertainment Services. “Now, for the first time, we are able to extend that one of a kind experience to a much wider audience through AT&T blue room music.”
On May 5 and May 6, AT&T blue room music (www.attblueroom.com/music) will give fans access to the best of Jazz Fest 2007, combining archived performances from the first weekend of the event with live performances from the second weekend. Artists scheduled to appear on the AT&T blue room webcast include Rod Stewart, Norah Jones, Bonnie Raitt, Galactic, Joss Stone, John Mayer, ZZ Top and others. The schedule of performances is available on the AT&T blue room music site. Webcasts start at 1 p.m. each day and run through 7 p.m. ET.
Beginning now, fans can listen to blue room radio on the site, a 24-hour streaming station featuring interviews and performances with past and present Jazz Fest performers. Also new this year, visitors will have access to exclusive blog reports straight from the festival through AT&T blue room buzz. Following the Jazz Fest webcast, exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, interviews with artists, and clips from the events and performances will be available at www.attblueroom.com/music for all AT&T blue room visitors.
“Having the opportunity to deliver the Jazz Fest experience is a great indication of the impressive reputation that AT&T blue room is building,” said Mikal Harn, vice president, AT&T Consumer Marketing. “Not only will fans have access to production-quality webcasts of their favorite Jazz Fest performances, but we are enhancing the overall experience with exclusives like blue room radio and direct from the event reports through blue room buzz.”
