Juniper Networks Routers Deployed in New Saudi Multiplay Network

Juniper Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: JNPR) today announced that Bayanat Al-oula, a new service provider in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has selected Juniper Networks to build its IP/MPLS-based next-generation network based upon Juniper Networks M- and T-series multiservice edge and core routers. The new network is designed to enable premium multiplay services such as voice, data, video and IPTV services throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for both residential and business users. Juniper is also providing professional services to support the design and implementation of Bayanat’s network.

“The new network is a significant investment in the company’s future, as it will be the platform that underpins our entire growing portfolio of IP services,” said Abdulmajeed Elshawa, CEO, at Bayanat. “We have carefully evaluated various routing solutions from a number of world-class vendors, and Juniper’s technology has consistently delivered unmatched reliability, performance and flexibility in a cost-effective package. The all-round superiority of the Juniper platforms, and the fact that the M- and T-series share the same JUNOS operating system and architecture, persuaded Bayanat to implement a single-vendor strategy in the core and at the service edge.”

With over 2,500 units deployed worldwide, Juniper Networks T-series is the industry’s most scalable, feature-rich, and flexible core routing platform, with continual feature enhancements that ensure the highest performance and availability for the world’s most demanding and advanced networks. Juniper Networks M-series multiservice edge routing portfolio uniquely combines best-in-class IP/MPLS capabilities with unmatched reliability, stability, security and service richness. These multiservice edge routing platforms allow providers to consolidate multiple networks onto a single IP/MPLS infrastructure, while simultaneously generating new revenues with leading-edge services.
