The Edcomm Group Hires Ted Wight, Director of National Sales at BTCC BAI

The Edcomm Group is very pleased to announce that Ted Wight, Director of National Sales at Bankers Training and Certification Center (BTCC) a subsidiary of BAI, has joined The Edcomm Group as a Vice President in the Sales Division. BTCC was purchased by BAI from Primedia for an undisclosed sum.

Ted, who has an MBA from Washington University, joins Edcomm following 6 years with BTCC and BAI and several years in the telecommunications industry with AT&T/Cingular. His clients have included Wells Fargo, Compass Bank, Harris Bank, Northern Trust, Fifth Third, Bank of Oklahoma, Frost National Bank, Amalgamated Bank, Bank of New York, HSBC Card Services, Chittenden Trust, FDIC, Navy Federal Credit Union, The Federal Reserve Bank and The Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS).

Amid sweeping layoffs, BTCC and BAI recently decided to disband their large bank group serving the needs of large, high profile banks such as Bank of America, Wells Fargo and Compass Bank. BTCC is refocusing their efforts to serve a limited sector of the banking industry, no longer concentrating on large banks. According to Ted, “I couldn’t look my clients in the eye any more knowing that they were no longer going to be well supported, so I contacted Edcomm, because even as a competitor I always respected their amazing reputation in our industry.”
