Tilgin deploys the Opera browser on its Mood 300 and Mood 400 IP STBs

Tilgin, the premiere IP customer premises equipment (CPE) provider for the triple play market, has added the Opera 9 browser for Devices for its Mood 300 and Mood 400 IP set-top boxes (STB). Opera enables Tilgin customers to create user interfaces, widgets and dynamic Ajax-applications, in addition to providing a pre-installed Web browser.

Tilgin helps operators and Internet service providers to provide an expanded portfolio of IP-based services for the broadband market. Opera gives Tilgin IPTV customers customization options with easy-to-use and cost efficient Web technology. For example, customers deploying Tilgin IP set-top boxes can use Web technology to quickly and easily customize the user interface to reflect their branding or use the Opera browser to create new and innovative value-added services.
