Cisco 12000 Series Routing Platform Hits $10 Billion in 10 Years
Cisco® today announced that its 12000 Series Router, a core component of the Cisco IP Next-Generation Network architecture, has surpassed the $10 billion revenue mark, a testament to its value as a multiservice edge platform for the world’s leading service providers. With more than 35,000 systems installed globally since its introduction in September 1997, the Cisco 12000 Series is one of the industry’s most sophisticated Internet Protocol/Multiprotocol Label Switching (IP/MPLS) service delivery platforms.
