Gartner names Partha Iyengar as Regional Research Director

Gartner, Inc., the world’s leading technology research and advisory firm, today announced the appointment of Partha Iyengar as regional research director of Gartner India, responsible for the company’s local research organization. The role of regional research director is a new leadership function that has been created at Gartner to present a single voice of Gartner research to clients locally, as well as proactively ensure that the company’s research agenda provides the maximum value and coverage for both local and global client issues.

“Partha is an outstanding leader with extensive experience and a consistent track record of success in building Gartner’s value proposition in India,” said Peter Sondergaard, senior vice president and global head of research at Gartner. “He is the perfect choice to lead our research team in India during this period of rapid development across the country”.

In addition to his new role, Mr. Iyengar will retain his previous responsibilities as vice president, distinguished analyst for Gartner in India during which he has been instrumental in Gartner’s continued success in the region. His leadership philosophy is focused on creating value for Gartner’s clients in India.

In his new capacity, Mr. Iyengar will continue to be based in Pune. Mr. Iyengar is an alumnus of College of Engineering, Pune, India and received a M.S. from New Jersey Institute of Technology, Newark, New Jersey and a M.B.A. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), Troy, New York.
