Airspan Takes Mobile Base Stations and Mobile Devices to WiMAX Forum(R) Third Public Mobile WiMAX(TM) PlugFest

Airspan Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: AIRN), a leading worldwide provider of WiMAX and Wi-Fi based broadband wireless access networks, today announced its participation in the WiMAX Forum® third public Mobile WiMAX™ PlugFest currently taking place in Sophia Antipolis, France. The company is testing Mobile WiMAX Base Stations and Mobile Devices against products from other companies to demonstrate interoperability in preparation for WiMAX Forum mobile certification later this year.

The testing at PlugFest moves Airspan a step closer to certification which forms the foundation for interoperability with other WiMAX products.”
Airspan has attended all of the WiMAX Forum public fixed and mobile PlugFests to date. Airspan has previously announced its intention to seek certification for its Mobile WiMAX versions of HiperMAX, MicroMAX and unique Quad-Band 16eUSB Mobile Station.
